So grab your sword and go rescue her!

Top-down, Adventure/Action, RPG, Fantasy
Concept creation process/area
After talking to friends about possible ideas, as I struggled a tonne to come up with something, I finally managed to think of one. I love RPGs, it is by far my favourite game genre, so I have decided to make a RPG of sorts, though a fairly minimal one to keep the scope in check. The setting I have chosen is Fantasy. It has influenced my likes ever since I was a small child, from my favourite games to my favourite tv shows, even some of the music I listen to. The RPGs I am taking the most influence from are older style ones and RPG Maker ones. (Software I have tried to use in the past).
LGBTQ+ will also be an influence. As a trans woman myself, I wanted to have some representation in my game. The main character, Aeris is a trans woman lesbian. Her wife, a cis woman lesbian. There will be some other characters that one will come across that will also be a part of the community, obviously not all of them will be. There will also be some easter eggs with interactions. People that know these easter eggs will recognise. I thought this would be fun way to add some extra flair to my game.
Audience and Competitive Analysis
My target audience is anyone that enjoys RPGs or adventure games, in a top-down style as well as the LGBTQ+ community. There isn't many games with queer representation, especially as a main character. Though, the story will be one everyone can related to, being yourself and wanting to protect someone you care about! This game will be for the more casual player.
Game Treatment
You are playinng as Aeris, a retired adventurer in a fantasy world, in a peaceful area of a valley. However, your wife has been kidnapped causing you to pick up your sword one more time to rescue her! As you go out on your journey, you will meet interesting characters, battle powerful enemies, find secret treasure, all before you finally reach your goal and rescue your wife!

Optional Features
These are features that I would like to add if I have time, for now, they might be out of scope.

Art
The art style will be pixel fantasy. I am undecided between 64 vs 128 bit, but I am leaning towards 128 currently. The image below shows the kind of perspective I am after with some GUI elements.
Below is a map, that will show the progression from each area. The art style for the map will look similar to this, though significantly more polished. The Map will display in each loading screen when moving between the area with a "here" showing where you're moving to.

Overall a well-written and solid RPG concept, well done. I can see the unique features being communicated in the document around the representation of the main character, and I think I would have liked to have seen the various differentiating features of your game fleshed out/explained more in this document to get even more marks.
